thewarindrew: ok. i have something to fucking say to both andyv01c0m + andreasin. i have been fighting and participating in equal rights movements for many many years now.  i would consider myself someone who genuinely and whole-heartedly cares for the homosexual community.  i would say that i am the type of person who sticks up for those who cant find their voice for whatever the reason may be.  have i always been this way?  absolutely not. you see.  like the both of you, i used to think like you.  i viewed any homosexual who did not fall into a hetero-normal persona as someone who was nothing but damaging to our community.  now.  let me say this loud and clear.  THAT TYPE OF ATTITUDE IS 100% UNACCEPTABLE IN TWO THOUSAND AND FUCKING NINE. why? because our community is not made up of nothing but gay men who can pass as straight men who dress in nothing but “business causal”. hold the fuck up.  since when the FUCK did a protest have ANY kind of protocol….YET ALONE A DRESS CODE?! seriously! you ask, “do i really think the united states government will take us seriously.”  um.  YES!  you know why?  BECAUSE THOUSANDS OF FUCKING HOMOSEXUALS (and our allies) ARE ABOUT TO FUCKING SHOW UP ON THEIR DOOR STEP DAMMIT!  IT IS NOT ABOUT THE CLOTHES WE ARE WEARING IT IS ABOUT HOW MANY OF US WHO WANT TO BE HEARD.  NUMBERS.  NOT SHIRT LABELS. and you think “i should set aside my huge ego and my blown up gay pride and show up looking like i want some fucking rights”?!” WOW!  WOW WOW WOW!  you know what?   i dont think you have enough pride. let me tell you about what i fight for.  I FIGHT FOR EQUALITY.  EQUALITY.  EQUALITY meaning that every person, no matter their shape, their size, their hair color, what is between their legs, what isnt, where theyve come from, who they love, why they love, what they look like, fat, skinny, tall, short, shops at old navy, or hot topic, EVERYONE no matter who they are, deserves the same human rights as anyone else no matter who they fuck or who they love.  EVERY HUMAN BEING has these rights.  the right to be whoever they want to be.  I fight for those people.  i dont just fight for the “business causal” self righteous homosexuals, such as yourselves, who thinks that anyone who steps outside of the hetero-normal “line” is damaging to the cause.  your way of thinking is wrong and in fact damaging to our community. look at what you are asking the gay community.  you are asking everyone to conform in order to gain the attention we need.  would it be effective?  it is possible.  but is it who we are?  FUCK NO!  you see, i dont know about your community, but the one i am a part of is a open and accepting community.  its a community that is diverse and vast, with all types of people.  it is a community that is bonded by two things, love and the fact that we are gay.  NOT WHAT WE DRESS LIKE TO PROTESTS.  the fact is there is something different about us that we didnt chose and have to face daily difficulties because we are just trying to make it in the world just like anyone else.  we want the same things, the same rights, we have similar ambitions and we are all gay. i cannot make it to DC as much as i want to.  i know they are having a smaller event here in atlanta for those who still want to be a part of it.  i will be there.  the gay community has ALWAYS been the place for those out of the ordinary.  we are everywhere.  some of us are straight as your dad and others fart glitter.  who the fuck cares?  apparently you care.  apparently you are so invested in the idea of changing our community in a way where we lose ourselves by becoming everyone else.  you are ashamed of those who are different and that kind of attitude is a quality that i find offensive and EVERYONE ELSE SHOULD AS WELL. i mean seriously though.  what are you going to do?  stand at the “entrance” of the marches like BOUNCERS and weed out those people who are fighting for LOVE but cannot participate because they are not in business causal or to your standard?!   IT. IS. VOICES. WE.
